In a significant electoral victory, Trinamool Congress (TMC) has emerged triumphant in the by-election held for the Dhupguri assembly seat in Jalpaiguri district, West Bengal.
Trinamool Congress (TMC) has secured a decisive win in the by-election for the Dhupguri assembly seat of West Bengal. The TMC candidate, Nirmal Chandra Roy, clinched victory by defeating the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Taapsee Roy by a substantial margin exceeding 4,000 votes. The counting of votes commenced at 8:00 AM on Friday morning, with stringent security measures in place to ensure a fair and peaceful process.
The by-election witnessed active participation, with a notable 78 percent voter turnout. This electoral event was necessitated by the unfortunate demise of BJP MLA Bishnu Pada Ray earlier this year.
Thank you #Dhupguri, for embracing the politics of development over hatred and bigotry. Saluting every AITC worker for their tireless efforts in connecting with the people. We're committed to leaving no stone unturned in ensuring Dhupguri's all-round development. ????????
